Katharos is in reference to the root of Feli's last name Katawyn, as well as the steadfast nature of their soul (no matter what other identities they take on or the inspirations I give them).
Hekatos is both an epithet of the Greek deities Hekate and Apollo, major thematic inspirations for Feli and Azem.
Apollo - God of the Sun, the Arts and Crafting, Divination and Healing. His symbols of the sun and the arrow are often used in Feli's motifs and themes.
Hekate - Goddess of Night and Moon, the Crossroads, Boundaries, Transformation and Sorcery. Her symbols of the moon, keys, lanterns, torches and doorways are often used in Feli's motifs and themes.
Enodia is not only an epithet of Hekate, but also the Latin name of some species of butterfly, a common symbol of transformation and destiny I use in Feli's motifs.
Tyche is the Goddess of Luck and Fate, another major thematic inspiration whose symbols (the wheel, the globe, the compass) are often used in Feli's motifs and themes.
Psyche is the Greek Goddess of the Soul, and her symbol is the butterfly (represented by the visitation of a Morpho).
Monad - "an Ancient Greek word used in some cosmic philosophy and cosmogony to refer to a Supreme Being, divinity, or the totality of all things." It is the historical name of Azem's symbol (the dot and circle) which was used "to represent the first metaphysical being, the Monad or the Absolute" (from Wikipedia).

BEFORE BEING SUNDERED:
When the Convocation’s plan for the Final Days was being discussed, Azem quietly made the decision to leave Amaurot to find any possible alternative solution. They did not originally plan to tell anyone but was intercepted by Emet Selch and Hythlodeaus (this meeting resulted in combat with Emet Selch - she won). Azem did share their intention with Venat. Believing strongly in taking their fate into their own hands, they would spend the rest of their days before the Sundering taking care of the populations outside of Amaurot and doing their own research on how to counter the plans already in place.
Azem (then Enodia) at the point of Sundering was at peace, having done all they could to help everyone they came across. Not sure who they would become, but hopeful of the future, their final thoughts thanked the star for their time and purpose, and excited for the life they would be living when born again.

The Story of Feli Katawyn

LOST ORIGIN- Felicity “Feli” Katawyn is the Warrior of Light, but before that she was just another orphan Miqote. As far as she recalls, she was born in a vagrant Moonkeeper tribe traveling through the Central Shroud. On her 8th summer, the last thing she remembers is falling off a caravan cart and hitting her head. She wandered the wood for about a year, surviving off foraged materials and her archery, before hitching a ride to Gridania. Upon arriving she was directed to seek out Mother Miounne for guidance, who effectively adopted her. Under Mother Miounne’s care, she got to know the people of Gridania through numerous errands and extensive boredom, picking up any and all skills that the Twelveswood city state had to offer.

A REALM REBORN- Archer was her first and preferred job, where she honed her ability to hunt and fend for herself. It also offered her time to be alone. During this time she met Guydelot and Samson, whom she considered her first real friends in her memory. Much of her short, confusing youth was spent alone in the forest, preferring the company of the trees and the wind than to her Gridanian keepers, but hanging with Guydelot and Samson helped her get out of her shell and find joy in making mischief. She was known by the Wood Wailers to be quite a troublesome teen.Feli had never met anyone like the Scions. She wasn't used to the kind of organized, academic company she found herself in. Revelations about the Echo and her strange tie to Hydaelyn only pushed her deeper into the rabbit hole of their machinations, and soon she found herself caring for them and their cause very much. It was easy to take up their cause as her own, better than to be aimless without something to fight for.Up to this point Feli's world view had been built upon altruism and curiosity. Collecting the dead bodies in the Waking Sands, watching Moenbryda fall, and the betrayal of the Crystal Braves would altogether become a major catalyst for Feli's building cynicism and rage as they fled the City States.

HEAVENSWARD- Feli felt mostly detached from the political turmoil within Ishgard, but did not want to refuse aid to those who had sheltered her and her own. She had never had a family like the Fortemps, and most of her actions were ina debt to them and their kindness until she met Ysale and Estinien. Their journey across the frigid climes into the clouds was eye opening to what rage unchecked amounted to. Whatever catastrophic feelings she had held onto since fleeing Ul Dah, she felt them pale in comparison to war they were trying to stop (one of many happening all the time, she was realizing). And so when the Ascian pierced through Haucherfant's shield into him, she realized that she very well could not keep fooling around if she wanted to actually help, could not pretend that she didn't have the power to make a difference. She had no choice but to demand justice by her own hand. The Ascians, the Garleans, the Pope... they would all eventually pay.(She regrets not trying to know Haucherfant more before he was killed. She never understood his great admiration and love her - who could love someone so quickly and easily? These days she finds great comfort knowing how much she was loved by him and his family, and strives to write to Lord Fortemps often.)

STORMBLOOD- Her understanding of the world was very limited, and the more she came to understand of what was going on the more she came to resent Empire for it's tyranny. From her earliest dealings with them at the Praetorium, she knew that the Garleans were a force to be reckoned with. But she did not truly understand this until she was bested so easily by Zenos vae Galvus at Rhalgr's Reach. It was the first time someone with comparative strength had bested her, and shaken from her second major failure and the cruel hunt the Prince perpetuated, she vowed to fight against imperialism and all who would subjugate others.

SHADOWBRINGERS- Her unexpected journey to the First left her wanting for answers and with a whirlwind of questions. Emet Selch had given the Scions a lot to think about, but for Feli he had laid a trail that came the closest anyone had ever managed to giving her answers to who she was, and why she was here. This more than anything was something she had been searching for her entire (known) life. Upon his death, she felt like perhaps there was so much more she could have asked him if she had had the nerve.

ENDWALKER- Feli wanted to distrust Venat after all that happened in the First, but after sparring with and getting to know her on Elpis she feels more of a kinship than she thought she would. She loved talking to Venat about her adventures, feeling a connection she had never had before: a family member to finally recount her life to. (Tyche and Venat got along well despite often having healthy debates).- Following the events of the Final Days and the many mysteries that were solved in the wake of their travels, Feli feels more at peace with her place on this star, and who she is. Thanks to Venat and her friends, she has finally come to the conclusion that who she was does not matter, as long as she likes who she has become. While she is sad that the Scions have "disbanded", she is grateful for the rest and the freedom to travel at her whimsy. She does not intend to stop.
